Their content is decent, including photos and occasional videos. They would be well advised to post more rich media, more content that includes interaction like polls, games, etc… They do promote related content that their users will find interesting, like a Kickstarter campaign for an Appalachian Trail documentary. They post once or twice a day, which ok, but two to four posts a day would be optimal. Their Facebook content is also appropriately separate from their Twitter and Instagram content .
They don’t have massive engagement in the comments section, but what does occur is quality engagement. In building a community around their brand it is more valuable to have quality interaction with a few users than poor interaction with a large number of users.
Osprey is on the right track to building their social media presence, but has room to improve, especially in the frequency and content of their posts.
Which most strongly influences your perception of a company on social media, their content, or their level of engagement?
